Designer creates tranquility amidst the shelves
By L.A. Eaton

“We spend a lot of time with the client to understand what is natural for them; where they leave things. We want to know what they do when they get up in the morning.”

It’s been a long day. Your ears are ringing from clients and their issues. Your eyes ache from
long hours in front of a computer. The deal you were positive would go through has yet another loop hole to endure. Then you were late getting to a meeting across the country and the flight was uncomfortable. The first thing you want to do is escape into your own private world of soothing luxury. Your master bedroom suite, com-plete with custom wardrobe is peaceful and has everything you need to relax.

“Tranquility,” said Vincent Sagart, owner and designer of Poliform Washington by Sagart Studio, when describing what the ultimate wardrobe should be like. “It is one nice experience.”

An exquisite wardrobe is essential to the master bedroom suite for many clients, said Sagart. “These projects are given as much respect as designing a kitchen.”

While the kitchen is the focal point of family and entertaining, the master bedroom serves as the private oasis of its owner. The suite and
wardrobe must be functional as well as calming.

“The biggest attribute that we’re asked to do is to make it visually easy on the eyes,” said Sagart, who designs Italian-made wardrobes that cleverly hide the essentials needed for living but take away the clutter that brings with it stress and chaos. “We spend a lot of time with the client to understand what is natural for them; where they leave things. We want to know what they do when they get up in the morning.”

Sagart hopes to express the client’s style as well as find the best way to make an easy flow from wardrobe, to dressing room, to bathroom, for example. One of his popular designs is the Senzafine which is described as an extremely flexible wardrobe and walk-in closet system. It’s available in different heights and widths. This system offers bound-less personalization with an assortment of finishes, door styles and accessories.

Located at the Washington D.C. Design Center, the studio is not only famous for its closet designs but for living room, bedroom, and kitchen designs as well. Poliform is Italy’s leading manufacturer of high-quality home and office furnishings.
