Founded in 1989, Augustine Homes is a developer Quaker Homes founder Leon McGlothlin began his homebuilding career in 1960 working with his uncle’s roofing company. The knowledge and skills acquired during this time resulted in McGlothlin’s primary homebuilding objective: “Quality First.”

During the 1980s, McGlothlin was President of Long Homes of Virginia, Inc. and its successor, Long Signature Homes, Inc. In 1992 he brought his years of building knowledge and expertise to bear with the formation of Quaker Homes, a custom homebuilding company whose mission is to deliver uniquely designed homes suited to the needs and desires of each Quaker homeowner ... homes that deliver the best value possible.

Personally involved in the design, construction, and delivery of each and every home Quaker builds, McGlothlin continues to be involved after settlement with customer service policies and procedures developed to ensure homeowner satisfaction.

In 1983, McGlothin served as President of the Prince William Builders Association and was voted Builder of the Decade for the 1980s. He is past Chairman of the Custom Builder Council of Northern Virginia Building Industries Association, is a Senior Life Director of NVBIA and serves as Director for the Home Builders Association of Virginia. Leon won the NVBIA Builder of the Year for 2000.
